We train recreational and public safety divers. The South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy and DHEC-EMS Division has approved most of our PSD programs. All Course Are OSHA, RSTC, NFPA 1670 & 1006 Compliant.

Step/Level 3 Certification (PSD Ready):
Search and Recovery: Instruction will cover techniques, principals and application of Search and Recovery methods, including planning techniques, organization procedures, problems and hazards of Search and Recovery.
Underwater Criminal Investigation:
Instruction will cover techniques, principals and application of Underwater Criminal Investigation methods, including planning techniques, organization procedures, problems and hazards of Underwater Crime Investigation.
Upon successful completion of all training, divers will be ready to conduct PSD Operations. The department should conduct “In-Service Training” Monthly.

Steps to Certification:
Here are the steps to get your team up and diving or continue they’re training.
Step/Level 1 Certifications (Non-PSD Diver):
Open Water Scuba Diver: This course will teach participant the skills and knowledge required to be a safe and comfortable open water diver.
Advanced Open Water Diver: This course is designed to build on your open water skills and incorporate more advanced scuba techniques such as Wreck Diving, Deep Diving, Night Diving, Buoyancy Control, Diver Rescue Techniques, and much more.
Divers should have, at a minimum,
15 logged dives in varying environments before step/level 2.

PDIC Diving Safety Officer Course is designed to train experienced and knowledgable diver in all phases of diving safety. The Diving Safety Officers are trained to handle any emergencies that may arise in open water. PDIC Full-Face Mask Specialty PDIC Surface Ice Rescue,

Step/Level 2 Certifications (Limited PSD Diving):
Diver Medic: The Dive Team Medic is an individual who provides initial/pre-hospital care to dive team members who become ill or injured in the dive setting.
Night Diver: Diving at night is probably the most unusual dive experience. Divers at this level should be very comfortable in the water. This training will teach the diver to see with his/her ‘hands” and the proper use of U/W lighting.
Cavern/Navigation/Compass Diver: This course will provide the skills to safely penetrate confined spaces and over head environments using line reels and compass navigation.
Divers should have, at a minimum, 15 additional logged dives before step/level 3.

Additional Services
PSD Dive Supervisor: This course teaches the basics of group control and should be taken by two senior members of the dive team.
PSD Instructor Course: The PSD Instructors Course will cover all areas of Public Safety Diving. Upon successful completion, the PSD instructor will be authorized to instruct all levels of Public Safety Diving (including PSD Assistant Instructor).
In-Service Training: We will put them through their paces at different dive sites and assist with fine tuning their skills. The instructor will document the training evolutions and skills performed.
SOP Guidelines: We can design a Public Safety Diving Manual (PSD) specific for your agency based on current standards.
Consulting Service: We will review your training, operational readiness and make recommendations based on current guidelines.
